최종 수정일: 10월 9일

Going to Indonesia helped me realize that your community isn’t just the one nearest to you. Arriving at Bunkulu, I was greeted with traditional Indonesian dances presented by the students. These dances did not only demonstrate the unique tradition Indonesian cultue, but also showed the resilience the students carried even after all of their difficulties. In conclusion, even thought I went to Indonesia to teach the students, I learned what true grit and determination was that day.

After visiting Indonesia I felt a great sense of grace and gratitude. I felt this way because we were able to help so many people achieve their dreams or work towards helping achieve them. I belive what was most impressive was the resilience and happiness the peers of Indonesia showed. It seemed as though their culture lived through every being of the school and community. - Steven Chung -

Visiting Indonesia was an eye-opening experience I will always be grateful for. Before my visit, I only learned about the hardships that they lived with through words on paper, which left me feeling detached and distant. Witnessing and experiencing the Indonesian people's struggles firsthand made me reflect on the privileges that I had been taking for granted. This experience also fueled my motivation to find real, actionable solutions, rather than just empty promises. I was deeply moved by the people's ability to find joy in their modest lives, which rekindled a sense of admiration in me. Even while I helped provide them with provisions, I found myself constantly wanting to support them in more meaningful ways. - Rachel Jung -
